Caregivers to elderly parents
Scott and Julia talk about what it means to be a family caregivers to an elderly parent.
And, Scott shares that his family is also caring for his elderly father. We learn his concerns and growing awareness about what it takes for his sister to care for their father.
Julia also shares with viewers her goal of working for increased advocacy within the family caregiving field. The two veteran broadcasters share with listeners some of the challenges faced including:
- working full-time and juggling the demands of caregiving
- sharing duties between siblings
- and how to get the best possible help when you live in different states
