Feeling Festive this 4th of July or questioning what and for whom “freedom” in the US means?

Hello KIRC family. As we prepare to mark Indepdence Day, 2022, I would like everyone to take a few moments and consider the definition of independence:

The quality or state of being independent ➡️ 🗽

Independent: Not subject to control by others

So as we all mark July 4th, the holiday Americans look to when we celebrate INDEPENDENCE from Britain and individuals being controlled by others, consider the irony of the US. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V. Wade, removing a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion.

I hope that WE THE PEOPLE can work to find middle ground and understand that so many societal issues we are struggling with, have related intersections with the field of aging.
