Event description:

Keeping It REAL Caregiving kicks off 2024 with a fresh and informative episode of Sunday Coffee Chat & Support!

Join us for a casual, supportive, and enriching virtual program to give you information and tools for navigating the family caregiving experience.
It is not always an easy task.

In this episode, one of our special guests, Heather Robert, will share personal ‘lessons learned’ from hands-on experience in the role of family caregiver to a sibling, and preparing for the possibility of also caring for parents.

Ms. Robert is also a graduate student in the Master’s of Social Work program at San Diego State University, California. She is passionate about understanding ‘systems’ impacting the care-industry workforce and families.

We will also hear from an expert in the field of insurance who understands the vital role of finances and planning. In this session, you will hear some of the steps to consider for planning ahead.

Sid Starks, has served as family caregiver to parents, in-laws, and he is a professional financial planner. Mr. Starks focuses much of his insight through the lens of the importance of insurance and financial planning to ‘be prepared’ for the realities of the costs of care.

Both of our guests are passionate about wanting to share what they have learned with others.

Hope you will join us and feel free to share this information with your friends and network!

Until next time~
Julia
