Hello KIRC family!

This will be a quick update, but one I wanted to make sure to pass along before another day goes by.

We have moved!

Keeping It REAL Caregiving has officially made the move to our new home at Substack.

Thank you for staying with me on this journey. Not much will change about how KIRC shares information. The only difference is the platform provider.

I extend a huge dose of gratitude to Meta Bulletin for the opportunity to be a part of a visionary tool to deliver information. But now, we are looking forward to the next phase.

If you have enjoyed what KIRC has been doing, please share with your friends, family, colleagues and anyone you believe could benefit.

Veterans Day 2022

KIRC extends a belated recognition to our nation’s Veterans (including my brother, several nephews and my now deceased father). Thank you for your service, dedication and commitment to protecting our nation

Most of you know that many establishments offer discounts to Veterans on the holiday, but did you know there are other businesses which offer discounts all year?

Veteran discounts all year

Plus, there is another ‘THANK YOU’ being extended to those who have served. From the U.S. Department of the Interior:

WASHINGTON — Today, the Biden-Harris administration announced that starting on Veterans Day (Nov. 11), veterans of the U.S. Armed Services and Gold Star Families can obtain a free lifetime pass to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites spread out across more than 400 million acres of public lands, including national parks, wildlife refuges, and forests.
